Basic Atom

...I have a Basic Atom Bot Board II, Basic Atom 24 'chip', and a PS2 controller coming...I think i might have bitten off more than i can chew

...i need to decide which, in the long run, is better; regular multi-channel RC control of the bot or the PS2 with its many various buttons...Suck them and see first i guess

...the PS2 controller is here and is very cheesy...i didnt get the Lynxmotion one but i got one that looked very similar...

...The Atom Bot Board is coming from Canada via RobotStore.ca and it is taking forever...

...i have changed direction slightly and am taking the Tamiya route...All plastic materials, 'bread-board' type design of parts filled with thousands of holes that i can simply bolt together and try different things...I am actually much happier doing this because my son and i can change things in about 5 minutes to see how they work...i was gtting sick of having to cut and drill alloy and stuff...This way i can completely change the chassis in about 5 minutes with hex heads and nylock nuts

...And Yes D. I will be taking phots and making posts for y'all...its all very simplistic next to the 'real' robot guys though lol...

The Bot Board II is a carrier for the Basic Atom micro controllers. The carrier will accept any 24 or 28 pin BS2 like controller, however, we have designed it to take advantage of the Basic Atom's special features.
