...I have a Basic Atom Bot Board II, Basic Atom 24 'chip', and a PS2 controller coming...I think i might have bitten off more than i can chew :D

...i need to decide which, in the long run, is better; regular multi-channel RC control of the bot or the PS2 with its many various buttons...Suck them and see first i guess :D

...the PS2 controller is here and is very cheesy...i didnt get the Lynxmotion one but i got one that looked very similar...

...The Atom Bot Board is coming from Canada via RobotStore.ca and it is taking forever...

...i have changed direction slightly and am taking the Tamiya route...All plastic materials, 'bread-board' type design of parts filled with thousands of holes that i can simply bolt together and try different things...I am actually much happier doing this because my son and i can change things in about 5 minutes to see how they work...i was gtting sick of having to cut and drill alloy and stuff...This way i can completely change the chassis in about 5 minutes with hex heads and nylock nuts :D

...And Yes D. I will be taking phots and making posts for y'all...its all very simplistic next to the 'real' robot guys though lol...

The Bot Board II is a carrier for the Basic Atom micro controllers. The carrier will accept any 24 or 28 pin BS2 like controller, however, we have designed it to take advantage of the Basic Atom's special features.

Basic Atom is a self contained microcontroller. Fundamental building block of nuclear stuff, or what the scientists to "talk" like to call. Each neutron is neutral power. In other words, neutrons do not have a charge for either electrons or protons not draw power.

Take a look at the program BasicATOM at work, and the law that has been written on the screen shot is a simple program to get the motor to rotate in a clockwise direction for 5 seconds, then wisdom anticlock for 5 seconds, then back through the loop again.

The number of protons determines the element. The number of neutrons results in isotopes differ. Number of electrons results in ions separate. Isotope of protons all the different forms of an element with a certain number of ions and atoms.

# Atoms cannot be divided using chemicals. They do consist of parts, which include protons, neutrons, and electrons, but an atom is a basic chemical building block of matter.

# Each electron has a negative electrical charge.

The number of protons (also known as its atomic number) determines the element. Varying the number of neutrons results in isotopes. Varying the number of electrons results in ions. Isotopes and ions of an atom with a constant number of protons are all variations of a single element.

It's even pin-out compatible with the Basic Stamp - so it can be directly swapped for one in most projects. the Basic Atom line is based upon various microchips pre-programmed with an interpreter, making it easy to change "programs", as they are only "data" being interpreted. A compiler converts a high level language into the interpretive "code" which is then loaded in as data, and run.

The product line consists of:
Basic Atom - Basic Stamp 2 compatible devices, claiming faster execution
Basic Atom Nano, a series of pre-programmed chips for those that want to integrate the functionality into other products without adding other boards
Basic Atom Pro, a line of higher capacity devices.

Scientists use the Periodic Table in order to find out important information about various elements. Created by Dmitri Mendeleev (1834-1907), the periodic table orders all known elements in accordance to their similarities. When Mendeleev began grouping elements, he noticed the Law of Chemical Periodicity. This law states, "the properties of the elements are periodic functions of atomic number." The periodic table is a chart that categorizes elements by "groups" and "periods." All elements are ordered by their atomic number. The atomic number is the number of protons per atom. In a neutral atom, the number of electrons equals the number of protons. The periodic table represents neutral atoms. The atomic number is typically located above the element symbol. Beneath the element symbol is the atomic mass. Atomic mass is measured in Atomic Mass Units where 1 amu = (1/12) mass of carbon measured in grams. The atomic mass number is equal to the number of protons plus neutrons, which provides the average weight of all isotopes of any given element. This number is typically found beneath the element symbol. Atoms with the same atomic number, but different mass numbers are called isotopes. Below is a diagram of a typical cells on the periodic table.

The cells of your body are composed of atoms and molecules, of course. Whether you think the nucleus of an atom or a cell depends on your point of view and a meaningless distinction definitions anyway. Giving the thumbs down does not change the fact that cells from atoms. Period. Not affected by the fact that the basic building block is a meaningless distinction definitions.

# Atoms cannot be divided using chemicals. They do consist of parts, which include protons, neutrons, and electrons, but an atom is a basic chemical building block of matter.

# Each electron has a negative electrical charge.

# Each proton has a positive electrical charge. The charge of a proton and an electron are equal in magnitude, yet opposite in sign. Electrons and protons are electrically attracted to each other. The atom is the fundamental building block of all stuff, or what scientists like to call "matter". An individual atom is very small. In fact, the smallest type of atom, hydrogen, has a diameter of 10-8 cm. This means that if the hydrogen atom was the size of a soccer ball, then a soccer ball would be 6450 kilometers (4008 miles) high. Every single object is composed of atoms. Your body is made up of many, many individual atoms. There are also many different types of atoms. In fact, there are over a 100. These different types are called elements. Examples of some elements are hydrogen, oxygen, iron, copper, and helium. Under normal conditions many atoms can stick together to form larger, different stuff. Scientists call material that results from the joining of different types of atoms "compounds". An example of a compound is water,
